Established during the academic year 1992-1993, Jaya College of Arts & Science is affiliated to the University of Madras for the systematic transformation of students as highly motivated graduates with professional competence.
The college functions under the aegis of our beloved Prof. Dr. A. Kanagaraj, founder of Jaya Educational Trust, Thiruninravur. Our institution is one of the pioneering institutions in carving young minds in all aspects.
Beyond academics, JCAS inculcates the spirit of community involvement, serving people and enhancing educational experience beyond campus, thereby increasing social consciousness on a charitable basis.
Library
The college library houses over 1,000 volumes, good periodicals, wide-ranging reference books and computer-based information services. It subscribes to professional journals of international fame and offers online services including searchable databases and electronic journals.
Laboratories
Every department has its own well-equipped laboratory. The central Information Technology laboratory facilitates teaching on various subjects, providing outstanding facilities for learning skills required by present-day students.

Located in the lap of natural beauty on C.T.H. Road, Thiruninravur (Near Avadi), Chennai, the college offers excellent road connectivity. It is approximately 8km from Avadi bus depot and Nemilicherry railway station.
